Title: Export warning messages
Post by: GreenDragon on 2013-06-11, 07:40:09
I got some warnings when I exported my map recently. I didn't have any problem running the level. What do they mean?

[06/11 - 16:34:07]   Creating face mapping defs.

You made a really large single texture surface either consisting of one brush or many brushes. If it's a sky brush, don't worry about it. Probably why you don't notice anything. You would notice something is visually wrong with a surface... you would see no shadows cast on the surface if it was too large. It would cause the very large single texture surface to vertex light. Something to look out for. Don't make a single texture surface too big. Try using alternating textures or amp up the light detail scaling in the export options because it's based on how small the light scale is.
