I'm not sure if I did something wrong when I was using WinXP x64, but now that I'm using the 32-bit version, I notice that Visual Studio is running incredibly faster. The toolpanel loads within a second or two compared to over five seconds on XP64.

It's stuff like this that makes me very disappointed of 64-bit software. My specs are:

MSI Neo4 Mobo (NVidia Controlers)
AC97' Integrated Sound
Athlon 64 Fenice 3200 2ghz
ATI Radeon x700 (OEM)
1gb Corsair RAM
DVD RW (Pioneer)
200gb HD (120gb, 80gb)

XP64 runs like shit and all of the drivers had to be found online. All of the drivers are betas and have yet to be finals.

Lol, wait with 64 till viesta or something... win XP 64 was only made cause there was dual core, never ment to be a real operating system. Besides, At school, we got a few old pc's for crashtesting, Visual studio works incredible quick on it. So I think your specs are MORE then enough.

At school, it takes 3 minutes for Visual Studio's toolbar to open compared to less than 5 seconds on my pc. It takes 5 minutes for the school pcs to turn on, but they are on a very slow network that has extremely paranoid security settings.

My pc loads in 30 seconds.
